This program is the first of its kind in Jordan and the Arab Region. It is a one-year-graduate program that can be followed after the bachelor degree. The program is certified by Yarmouk University and is accredited by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It aims at enabling teachers to use modern pedagogies and integrate them with the information and communication technology tools in the classroom.

 

The program is distinguished in its content and delivery approach. Its content is locally developed in the Arabic language by expert practitioners in the field who capitalized on the latest internationally proven theories and experiences to serve practices in the field. Its workshops are highly interactive and depend on application and learning by doing. The program provides training workshops and on the job observation and support in the local schools of the participating teachers from all over the country. It has a high reputation among educators in the field which shows in the record number of around 6000 teachers who joined it over the last seven years. Teachers from more than 2500 schools all over the kingdom joined it. The program earned Prince Hassan Award for Excellence in 2006 and several teachers enrolled in it win Queen Rania Distinguished Teachers Award annually.

 

2. CADER’s High Education Diploma (HED): Modern School Leadership& Technology

 

This High Education Diploma prepares principals to successfully meet the new roles expected from them in the 21stcentury and the demands in their schools by enabling them to become visionary leaders in their schools and communities. 

 

The High Education Diploma for Principals is a practical experiential program that is based on the new approaches in leadership and management. It advocates participatory approaches to leadership, including distributive and transformational leadership and team work. It is designed following Kolb’s experiential learning cycle that involves undergoing concrete experiences, reflecting on experiences, abstracting and conceptualizing the experiences, and reiterating the experiences. The program supports the principal to build school teams, plan and work with them. To ensure this, each principal is requested to submit structured tasks and projects to that effect in each theme.The principal’s work on these tasks requires involving the whole school community.

 

The HED is a one-year-program implemented in partnership with Yarmouk University. It consists of six themes and each theme consists of eight on campus workshops and 8 onsite workshops (given at a school). Each workshop is of four-hour-duration. The programfollows a special delivery mechanism. Although it is a university program, it is delivered both at the university and at the schools.

 

2.       Entrepreneurship and Work Readiness Programs

 

Based on CADER’s experience in schools and workplace, we started this new line of academic programs. Currently, we are offering two main courses that focus on the skills needed by the youth to compete and succeed in the work market.Both courses target University Youth with the aim of equipping them with 21st century skills that enable them to bridge the gap between the school education and the workplace needs. They are practical courses that are grounded in the latest proven theories of the world of business and the needs of the global workplace. They are offered by CADER Master Trainers who were especially trained to deliver them. They are:

 

·          Work Readiness Course for Undergraduates

This program addresses the challenges of youth empowerment and the lack of work readiness. It deals with issues such as work needs, work ethics and soft skills; i.e. writing a resume, conducting an interview, communication skills, self-awareness, dealing with conflict... etc.

 

·          Entrepreneurship Course for Undergraduates

This program aims at enabling young entrepreneurs through equipping them with needed entrepreneurial skills, business skills and personal skills. It aims at giving them the opportunity to go through the phases of enterprise creation while consciously developing their entrepreneurial skills.
